Surviving Rita......
Rita blew through leaving chaos and sadness in her wake. I didn't think there was room for any more sadness in this state, but....
So now that the southeastern part of our state was hit last month (NOLA--our largest city/tourism/seafood industry/$$$), and the southwestern part this month (casinos) there's not much left. Which begs the question: What happens to a failed state? Will they turn us into a 'territory?'

So tragic how a beautiful section of our country has suffered so much ruin. I can't imagine what it all must feel like, except to say that it's totally traumatic.
I pray now more than ever about so many things.

Yes, the praying. I tried praying this morning and counldn't. There was just too much to know where to start. I ended up saying to God that He knew the needs and was in control. Some days that's all I can say.
